Our founder has spent years honing her skills as dancer, instructor, and performer. We have deep understanding of various dance styles, techniques, and choreography allows us to guide our students effectively, ensuring they learn from someone with real expertise.

We believe in tailoring my teaching style to suit the individual needs and goals of each student. We understand that everyone has different strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles, and we adapt our lessons accordingly. This personalized approach ensures that our students progress at their own pace and achieve their desired dance goals.

Our enthusiasm for ballroom and Latin dancing is infectious. We have a genuine passion for the art form, and we inspire our students to embrace the joy of dancing. Our positive energy and encouragement create a supportive and motivating learning environment that helps students overcome challenges and develop their skills with confidence.

DANCE STYLES WE TEACH

Waltz

The Waltz is a smooth and elegant dance characterized by flowing movements and graceful rotations. It is danced to music in 3/4 time signature, with a strong emphasis on rise and fall and long, sweeping steps. Slow and romantic, the Waltz showcases the dancers' poise and grace. It is known for its sweeping movements and the feeling of gliding across the dance floor. 

Foxtrot

The Foxtrot is a smooth and sophisticated dance that combines slow and quick steps. It is danced to music in 4/4 time signature, with a smooth walking motion and subtle rise and fall. The Foxtrot is characterized by its smoothness and elegance. It features long, flowing movements, and the dancers maintain a close connection throughout the dance.

Tango

The Tango is a passionate and dramatic dance characterized by sharp movements and staccato footwork. It is danced to music in 2/4 time signature, with distinctive leg and foot actions. The Tango is known for its intense and dramatic expressions. It involves strong, deliberate movements, precise foot placement, and a close hold between the dancers. 

Viennese Waltz

The Viennese Waltz is a fast-paced and exhilarating dance with continuous turns and rotations. It is danced to music in 3/4 time signature, with quick and flowing movements. The Viennese Waltz is characterized by its speed and rotational movements. Dancers perform rapid turns and spins, creating a sense of excitement and energy on the dance floor.


The Quickstep

The Quickstep is a lively and cheerful dance with fast movements and syncopated steps. It is danced to music in 4/4 time signature, with a combination of quick steps, runs, and hops. The Quickstep is known for its energetic and vibrant nature. It features dynamic footwork, quick changes of direction, and lively movements across the dance floor.

Samba

The Samba is a lively and rhythmic dance that originated in Brazil. It is characterized by bouncing and swaying hip movements, quick footwork, and syncopated rhythms. The Samba is known for its energetic and vibrant nature. It features fast hip movements, bouncing action, and a pulsating rhythm that encourages dancers to let loose and enjoy the party atmosphere. 

Cha Cha

The Cha Cha is a playful and flirtatious dance with quick footwork and syncopated hip movements. It is danced to music in 4/4 time signature, with a strong emphasis on the cha-cha-cha step. The Cha Cha is characterized by its lively and infectious rhythm. It involves sharp and crisp movements, Cuban motion, and playful interactions between partners.

Rumba

The Rumba is a slow and sensual dance characterized by smooth hip and body movements. It is danced to music in 4/4 time signature, with a strong focus on expressing emotions through the body. The Rumba is known for its romantic and passionate nature. It involves fluid movements, deep connections between partners, and a sensuous expression of love and desire. 

Paso Doble

The Paso Doble is a dramatic and theatrical dance inspired by the Spanish bullfight. It is danced to music in 2/4 time signature, with strong and proud movements reminiscent of a matador and cape. The Paso Doble is characterized by its intensity and power. It features strong and assertive movements, dramatic poses, and a dynamic interplay between the lead and follow, representing the bull and the matador.

Jive

The Jive is a lively and energetic dance that originated in the United States. It is danced to music in 4/4 time signature, with fast footwork, high-energy jumps, and kicks. The Jive is known for its fun and energetic nature. It involves quick and precise footwork, bouncy movements, and a lively and playful interaction between partners. 

Salsa

Salsa is a vibrant and energetic dance that originated in Latin America. It is danced to salsa music, which combines elements of Afro-Cuban rhythms and jazz. Salsa involves intricate footwork, exciting spins, and rhythmic hip movements. 


Bachata

Bachata is a sensual and romantic dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. It is danced to bachata music, which typically features a simple guitar-based rhythm. Bachata involves close partner connection, smooth body movements, and rhythmic hip motion. 

Cumbia

Cumbia is a lively and joyful dance that originated in Colombia and has since spread across Latin America. It is characterized by its infectious rhythm, energetic movements, and vibrant cultural influences. Cumbia emerged as a fusion of African, Indigenous, and European musical traditions, creating a unique blend of rhythms and melodies. The dance is typically performed in pairs or groups, with dancers moving their hips and feet to the lively beat of the music. Cumbia showcases the rich cultural heritage of Latin America and has become a popular and beloved dance style, celebrated for its exuberance and ability to bring people together in celebration.

Merengue

Merengue is a fun and lively dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. It is danced to merengue music, which has a lively and upbeat tempo. Merengue involves simple and repetitive footwork, hip swaying, and playful partner interactions.

Argentine Tango

Argentine Tango is a passionate and improvisational dance that originated in Argentina. It is danced to tango music, characterized by its emotional and melancholic melodies. Argentine Tango involves intricate footwork, close embrace, and intense connection between partners. 

East Coast Swing

East Coast Swing is a lively and energetic partner dance that belongs to the swing dance family. It is characterized by its upbeat and playful nature, featuring fast footwork, dynamic spins, and energetic partner interactions. East Coast Swing is danced to popular music with a 4/4 time signature, such as swing, rock and roll, and rhythm and blues. 

East Coast Swing evolved from the Lindy Hop, a popular dance that originated in the 1920s and 1930s in African American communities in Harlem, New York City. The Lindy Hop was influenced by various dance styles, including Charleston and jazz movements. As swing music gained popularity, dancers began adapting the Lindy Hop to a simpler and more accessible form, which eventually developed into East Coast Swing. It is a popular social dance that is enjoyed at parties, dance events, and social gatherings. Its energetic and playful nature makes it a favorite among dancers of all skill levels, and it continues to evolve and adapt to new styles and music. 

Bolero

Bolero is a slow and passionate partner dance originating from Spain, characterized by its smooth and flowing movements, romantic expressions, and deep connection between partners. Danced to slow music with dramatic pauses, Bolero showcases the emotional intensity and sensuality of the dance. With graceful arm movements, long, extended steps, and close embrace, Bolero captivates audiences with its beauty and the profound connection shared between the dancers. Whether performed in competitions, showcases, or social settings, Bolero embodies elegance, romance, and the power of nonverbal communication through movement.


Mambo

Mambo is an exciting and energetic dance style that originated in Cuba and gained popularity in the United States during the 1940s and 1950s. It is characterized by its fast-paced footwork, intricate patterns, and syncopated rhythms. Mambo is known for its infectious and upbeat music, often featuring a combination of Afro-Cuban rhythms and elements of jazz and big band music. The dance is performed in pairs, with dancers showcasing their agility, style, and musicality. Mambo is a dynamic and expressive dance, with partners engaging in quick turns, spins, and intricate footwork while maintaining a strong connection and synchronization. It is a vibrant and captivating dance style that continues to be enjoyed in social settings, competitions, and performances around the world.

Two-Step

The Two-Step is a fundamental country western partner dance that is danced to upbeat country music. It is characterized by its simple footwork and smooth movements. In the Two-Step, partners typically move in a forward-backward motion, taking two steps forward and then two steps backward. It is a versatile dance that can be enjoyed in various tempos and styles, making it a popular choice for country music social events and competitions. 

West Coast Swing

West Coast Swing is a modern and sophisticated partner dance that originated in California. It is characterized by its smooth and slotted movements, allowing partners to dance in a linear fashion along a defined path on the dance floor. West Coast Swing is known for its intricate footwork, syncopated rhythms, and improvisational nature. It is a versatile dance that can be danced to a wide range of music genres, making it a popular choice in country western and contemporary music scenes.

Polka

The Polka is a lively and energetic partner dance that originated in Europe and later became popular in the country western dance scene. It is characterized by its quick and bouncy movements, with partners hopping and skipping in a lively rhythm. Polka is often danced to upbeat and fast paced country music, with partners showcasing their agility and footwork. It is a fun and energetic dance style that encourages interaction and playfulness between partners.

Line Dance

Line Dance is a solo partner dance where individuals dance in a synchronized pattern, usually in a line formation. It is a popular country western dance style that can be enjoyed by dancers of all levels and ages. Line dances are choreographed sequences of steps and movements that are performed in unison. They often incorporate elements from various dance styles, such as Two-Step, Cha-Cha, and Swing. Line dances are a social and inclusive dance form, allowing individuals to enjoy dancing together without the need for a partner.
